Oilers jump out to an early lead in game one thanks to the last minute heroics of Jannik Hansen...game two goes tonight..we will see if the Isles trio of Horton,Peverly and Salo can fight back and make a series of it.

Oilers double their lead in game two with Edler leading the way and Boychuk adding some punch..they're halfway there.

Peverley trying to make a series of it for the Isles, but loss of Horton may mean the series. Boychuk and Seidenberg lead the way for the Oilers.

Man, will Trotts always be the bridesmaid, and never the bride? Or will Edmonton recapture the glory days with a cup win? Pretty intense series, tbh.

223 points. That's the gap Trott must close in one game to deprive EDM of what now looks like a pretty secure cup. Seriously reeling from the Horton injury, NYI will need huge games from Peverley and Salo, while Boychuk, Edler, Seidenberg, and Hansen stay quiet.
Notably, Seidenberg, who is the third dominant player here and very much a difference maker as Peverley and Boychuk more or less cancel each other out, is there pretty much thanks to his 15 PIM from game 3. Game 3 was also Boychuk's big one, with an assist, +3, and 4 PIM. This was, of course, also the game in which Horton was injured. May well go down as the game that decided this ZFHL final.

There's rumors Horton might play tonight, he's gonna lobby for it.

Congratulations Edmonton Oilers. Amazing team and job putting it together. Congrats to NYI as well. Perennial power house but I think Edmonton is going to push you for that title. You are going to have to step up this off-season trotts.
